I was very disappointed with the quality of the printing of this book. The font is unappealing and uncomfortable to read, it looks like it was typed in an old typewriter or mimeograph (only the paper is ok). I bought it to give away as a gift, but this is unpresentable. The description said that it would be printed on order, which I think it's a great concept, but they need to improve the quality of the presentation--which in this day and age it would seem a simple thing to do.Product details

Terrible print. Looks like it was typed on a BAD typewriter. I ordered t because someone said it was a very dear story and beautiful illustrated. I just cared about the story but I've not even tried to read it.
Read it years ago and will read it again. It is very inspiring. Recommend it to both young and old readers.
The story is good about a spunky little girl who loves God as a Christian Scientist. The print is a little hard to read.
Are there any other books with the title Jewel? I remember one from my childhood but it was different from the one I purchased.
I found the typesetting very difficult to read - the lines being too close together.
I found the beginning pages rather heavy.
The whole book took on its bright nature once Jewell arrived on the scene.
The metaphysics are very good.
This is a book that should be required reading for everyone. Adults and children would enjoy this fabulous book. I strived everyday while reading this book to do and be better.
I highly recommend this book to everyone! I couldn't put it down when I started it as it is so uplifting. It is about a little eight-year old girl who, through her understanding of Christian Science, heals her grandfather's horse and heals relationship issues in his household. She is a very happy and upbeat child, loving everyone with whom she comes in contact. You don't have to be a Christian Scientist to appreciate this story, but if you are, you will be delighted with how she constantly uses what she understands of Christian Science.
